After exploring this exciting metropolis, relax with a few days of fun and luxury at sea. Discover Broadway cabaret, fine dining and even finer wines, or a cozy nook to savor your coffee. 

Our first stop, Mumbai, is big in every sense of the word, from flashy Bollywood and the bustling Chor bazaar. Visit the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Mumbai City Museum, where you’ll find over 3,500 objects telling Mumbai's story or travel to Elephanta Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to tour the maze of cave temples and impressive carvings. For true cultural immersion in this dynamic city, explore Dharavi, a city within the city, where you’ll find a traditional 100-year-old potters’ village, leather tanning, and other goods. After another day at sea, you’ll enjoy a late night in Cochin, India. Watch fishermen casting massive 14th century Chinese fishing nets, then head to nearby stalls to sample the day’s catch. Or enjoy a holistic treatment in the renowned center for Ayurvedic medicine. 

Thanks to an overnight stay in Colombo, there’s no need to choose between the famous elephant orphanage and ancient Kandy, where Buddha’s tooth is said to be housed in a sacred temple. Next we sail off to Hambantota, Sri Lanka, where sprawling national parks are home to leopards, elephants, wild buffalo, and more. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Galle Fort, an 18th-century Dutch walled town with chic shops, grand colonial houses, and beautiful beaches.

Two days at sea is the perfect time to experience all that your boutique hotel at sea has to offer, from decadent specialty dining to restorative spa treatments. Our next port, Sabang, Indonesia, is known for its rustic way of life and charming friendly people. For gorgeous views of the bay across the peninsula to Kasih Beach, venture to Kota Ata. Stop for cake and coffee at a traditional Acehnese coffee shop on the water, where they serve outstanding locally grown coffee. 

After another blissful day at sea, we stop in Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang), Malaysia, to explore the bustling streets and an eclectic mix of architecture—the Moorish Sultan Abdul Samad Building, the Tudor-style Cricket Club, the early English gothic-style St. Mary’s Cathedral, and the Petronas Towers, icons of the cityscape,  to name a few. Take in a few of the more than 66 shopping malls then refuel at some of the city’s famous kedai kopi shops, clusters of stalls featuring a variety of delicious dishes. But don’t fill up too much, because our final port, Singapore, is known as the food capital of the world. Be sure to try the unofficial dish of the city, chili crab, and for a one-stop dose of international celebrity cuisine, head to the Marina Bay Sands, the world’s second most expensive building that’s home to no less than seven celebrity chef restaurants (and also a casino, two floating Crystal Pavilions, and an ice-skating rink). Or, escape the bustle of the city altogether with a visit to the world’s largest orchid garden at the tranquil Singapore Botanic Gardens.
